PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
XtraBond®1500 is single component, butyl-based solvent release sealant engineered to deliver excellent adhesion to most common building materials and plastics—without the need of a primer. The product’s chemistry makes it an excellent choice when the application requires a solution that will deliver solid durability over an extended period of time, without sagging or slumping.
XtraBond®1500 is non-staining, paintable and stays permanently elastic even when exposed to both high and low temperatures. The product is a superior solution when the application requires extended exposure to the elements.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For best results, prepare clean surface. Cut nozzle to desired bead size. Apply with caulking gun, forcing sealant onto the substrate, then tool if needed. Clean excess material with mineral spirits or similar solvent.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The substrate must be clean, dry, frost free, sound and free of any oils, greases or incompatible sealers, paints or coatings that may interfere with adhesion. Do not apply if surface is damp or contaminated. It is recommended to test all substrates prior to applications
STORAGE/SHELF LIFE
Be sure to rotate inventory accordingly. Materials must be properly stored in a low humidity (<50% RH) environment at room temperature (73 ± 2°F) in their unopened container. Do not freeze. Use cartridges within 12 months from date of manufacture.
